I have never succeeded to use in past sync feature for music in Android Plex app whatever device I was using (it took ages to painfully sync few files and then hang up for ever). It looks like PlexAmp is using same buggy sync feature as whatever device I use, I’m never able to sync any music playlist from my Plex server on my Android devices (music files are mainly FLAC ones and I setup sync to keep original format so it’s not a problem of ressources on Plex server to transcode files !).
Am I the only one having such problems ? Is it possible it might be a problem on server side ?
Side question: any plan to add an option to select where to store music sync locally ? Be able to select between internal et external storage of device !
To test try to sync one of your songs/albums that is in MP3 not FLAC.
Im also having sync issues with Android both on the Plex and Plexamp apps. Most of my library is FLAC and whenever I try to sycn any song/album that is in FLAC it refuses to sync but if I try it on any of my albums/songs that are in MP3 it syncs just fine which sucks as I am working on coverting ALL my albums to FLAC ripping my original CDs now that I have Plex (with PlexPass).
Anyone know how to be able to have my server (WD MyCloudEX2 Ultra which can transcode FLAC) save/sync the FLAC to my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S9+) to at least any lower quality mp3 format so I can take it with me when I want? I tried different quality settings and nothing works. But if I try to sync any original that is in MP3 it syncs just fine
Please fix this as there is no incentive to Rip your entire CD collection to high quality FLAC to be able to play on your PC or phone whenever and wherever you want to if it doesnt wortk as intended.
Its ok to play FLAC when Im at home straming them on my wifi but Id like to be able to take them with me (even at the lower mp3 320k or 256k setting) and not have to have separate mp3s stored on my server which we know plex doesnt like multiple copies of the same songs/albums to not get confused or have duplicate entires on your library database and also waste storage space.
