First, I loved Winamp back in the day and I love Plexamp today…nice job!
Anyone suffer from performance problems when the Vizualizations are on?
I’ve found my MS Surface Pro 3 struggles when I have vizualizations on with 95-100% GPU utilization. Definite lag when performing other tasks, etc. I’m running Windows 10 x64 with 8GB memory and an i7-4650U 2.3GHz CPU. Should I not expect this hardware / configuration to be able to use visualizations?
That visualizer is the most expensive one by far; if you like seeing real-time ray-marching with soft shadows and such, there’s no real getting around it. It’s amazing it’s even POSSIBLE to do this stuff in real time.
Bottom line ~ we wanted to provide some fun visualizers which really pushed the limits of GPUs. If you don’t have a super powerful GPU, or don’t want to incur the resource expense, pick a different one
Confirmed…after playing around a bit with the others I find them much more tolerable resource-wise…le sigh as usual, I like the one that is too expensive for my means… :’( Ha! Thanks for the help
