Glad to see this new player out there. However, I’m curious if that functionality will find its way into the main Plex experience. Music is the one major area I’ve found heavily lacking in the core Plex app. It’s extremely minimalistic, though functional. Many of the features of PlexAmp are what I’ve been hoping would find their way into the main app.
I’d rather it stay it’s own thing and keep it minimal. All the other apps have been full featured, so cutting the rest of it out when you only want music is great.
PlexAmp is a separate desktop application for music, but it is likely that some of the features may end up in other Plex apps. Of course, there’s no timeline for that.
