Plexamp's "Guest DJ" works great, but auto-play seems to have gotten much worse?

I’m seeing a strange thing, and I’m wondering if anyone else can confirm this…

I’ve been using the new “Guest DJ” feature extensively - in general, it provides great suggestions and I’m happy to let it play with very few track skips.

However, the auto-play mode (e.g. when Plexamp automatically queues songs up when an album is finished) seems to have gotten MUCH worse? I have a memory of the auto-play being relatively intelligent, e.g. playing tracks from the same genre/artist/etc? Now, auto-play will very often jump into hard right turns and abrupt mood shifts, and when I look at the songs it’s queued up they’re often pretty incoherent (they sometimes seem like a literal shuffle over my entire library). As an example, it decided that this techno album I’m listening to now (genre/mood tagged and by a relatively well know artist) is best followed up by… a few very loosely “electronic” things, a track from a Doors rarities album, and a spanish language pop-rap track.

Anyone else experiencing this? Are there settings to specify the auto-play behavior that I’m not seeing somewhere? Is anyone ELSE having good luck with this feature (maybe it’s always been bad and I’m just mis-remembering)? I’d be curious from a Plex staffer, what’s the algo for the auto-play - it seems very different from any of the DJ algo’s, since they pretty much ALL produce better results than what I get from auto-play now.

Auto play has several modes. You need to determine which of these is currently activated .
Play an album until only about ~5 tracks are left.
Then look at the bottom of the “Up Next” list.
The mode of autoplay should be mentioned. The example screenshot shows it simply as “Next Album”. You can change to “Similar Artists” or other by either swiping left right on a touch device or moving the mouse pointer over the indicated areas and click.

Lol, thanks SO much for the tip, I knew there was something obvious I was missing. My auto-play turned out to be set to things from the same decade, which explains why the behavior was so incoherent. I didn’t know you could swipe on this, I must’ve done it accidentally at some point.
