This can happen because PlexConnect has a 10 second timeout waiting for PMS. And PMS can't get the info from channels in such a short period. I had a similar problem weeks ago, and at the time I had to fix it changing XMLConverter.py for a longer timeout. In the meantime PlexConnect was fixed (and my original fix was not necessary), but now it's back again. Someone (Baa ? Roidy ?) has to remove this annoying timeout from the PlexConnect code...
Edit - I am currently getting the timeout the 1st time I access a certain channel, but when I try again, I have success. PMS continues to fetch the info in the background, so when PlexConnect asks it again again, PMS can answer faster because the info is cached.
Edit - Changing the timeout parameter in PlexAPI.py from 10 to 60 solved the problem in my case.
Nothing is working. I'm fairly certain at this point that the problem is not PlexConnect or the AppleTV, as I get errors on PlexWeb when I try and access content, but I've given nearly an entire day to this, and a solution is not forth coming.
Does any know what this means?
