I've been googling and reading all day but can't seem to get past this issue.
1. I have PMS server set up and published. iPads can see it and stream from it (and airplay it to atv2 and atv3 - airplay works but the quality is less than what I'd get by connecting the atv directly), Plex Client on Macbook and Windows laptops can see it and stream fine. PMS website works a treat - I even have had someone test using the PMS remotely using an ipad and laptop and it works very nicely.
2. Unboxed new atv3 today and followed the instructions to use the trailers app to see PlexConnect. I can get that far - opening Trailers DOES indeed put me into PlexConnect, but with no library or media. Same on older atv2.
3. For reference, PMS and PlexConnect are on same windows computer. Both are latest version downloaded and installed today. There is no firewall running on the machine and the atvs are in the same physical network segment (the iPads which DO work come in from a WiFi connection in another network (vLAN) segment. Everything else on the atvs works fine (i.e. connecting to itunes on laptops, connecting to youtube etc)
4. I can log into MyPlex on the atvs, and it sees my username etc but still does not see any media servers
5. With GDM enabled in the PlexConnect config it says it sees 1 media server, however i still get no media or libraries and I see the same error on the PlexConnect server
6. The error on the PlexConnect server is:
PlexAPI: No response from the Plex Media Server
PlexAPI: We failed to reach a server. Reason: Unauthorised
PlexAPI: We failed to reach a server. Reason: [Errno 10061] No connection could be made
because the target machine actively refused it
PlexAPI: Servers (local+MyPlex): 0
Please help.
