The contents of your 'Settings.cfg' file :
Do you have “Require authentication on local networks” turned on in PMS?
If so then try either turning it off or go to the ATV and in PlexConnect’s settings sign into myPlex.
Roidy,
It was turned off by default and as you suggested I signed into myplex on my atv but still no improvement.
I forgot to mention that I am not able to play the media as well. I am getting “An error occurred loading this content”.

Your PMS shows up under a very weird address. Is this LAN vs WiFi?
You could set "enable_plexgdm = False" and specify the other IP in ip_pms = ...
Would be nicer to be able to trust that GDM, though.
The PMS machine and the ATV are connected to the home Wifi network.
Is that what you are asking about ?
And I did try changing it to False but the atv showed the library as empty.
...according to your setup data, PMS/PlexConnect are running on same machine:
>> The local IP address of the device that the Plex media server (PMS) is installed on: 192.168.1.36
Your aTV is in the same address range: 192.168.1.45
But the log shows your PMS with a different IP - I have no explanation for "why", but it seems to happen with Win8.
When testing, did you set "ip_pms = 192.168.1.35" as well?
Yea you mean " 192.168.1.36 " right?
I did that too… but still doesn’t work. I’ve tried to do a clean setup twice but both the times same result.
>>Yea you mean " 192.168.1.36 " right?
I guess...
Are you able to access your PMS from another device - like mobile phone or something?
Is you firewall restricting access to PMS, ports 32400 (plus others)?
It definitely looks like aTV is fine talking to PlexConnect, but the pictures/videos are directly requested from PMS.
Try accessing "192.168.1.36:32400" from a browser on another computer/phone. Does that work? Will "169.254.246.241:32400" give the same results?
Yea I tried accessing from the plex android app. It discovered the PMS and it worked flawlessly.
Does it show the IP addr used?
Yes at first I let the app discover the server automatically and then I disabled it and manually searched entered the ip. It still worked.
After a few tries for one last time before wiping out my OS and doing it from scratch. I again tried it and after setting the plexgdm to false and changing the ip manually, I got it working!!
Thanks a lot guys…
Glad you did... have fun!
