Hello,
Love the plexconnect on my atv 3 but having an annoying issue. The hdmi video automatically sets to 1080p 60hz and this is fine for everything played directly from atv. But playing my library I have to change to 1080p 50hz otherwise the picture is jumpy glitchy. That would be fine if I could leave it on that setting but have to change again for 720p material to 720p 50hz as otherwise getting the same problem.
All same videos playing fine through plex client on mac.
Feed sent to Yamaha rxv-673 then to Sony x4500 and epson tw9000 projector.
Am I missing some setting here?
Thanks in advance ,
Chris
So is everyone happy with manually changing the tv resolution on atv to match what’s being played each time?? Have noticed there is an option on plex client for mac to match refresh rate on display to source which I believe what’s needed on plexconnect? Am I missing this somewhere?
Can anyone help me with this? Btw I’m in the uk if that helps.
Thanks

I have no problems, I set my aTV to 1080p60 and it plays everything I've got perfectly, I've got the following types of content:-
1080p @ 24Hz
720p @ 24Hz
576i @ 25Hz
480i @ 30Hz

Unfortunately the aTV's output resolution can not be changed on the fly by an application :( Plus the fact the aTV has no 24Hz setting anyway. It's all going to depend on how well your receiver/display handles the framerate conversion. Have you tried running the aTV directly to the display, some receivers have been known to do funky things to the signal.
Same here, plays everything fine, I never have to switch to 50 hz
