Anyone know if it is possible to install plexconnect on my synology DS1815+. it is not on the plexconnect spk server list.
I don’t know about your specific machine. All I can tell you is that I have it installed flawlessly on a DS1812+. would not know why it would not work on yours?
the ds1812+ is shown on the list but not the ds1815+. I do not know what differences there might be.
I would say try it. My guess is it should work the specs are similar.
I have now succeeded in indtaling the app but found out That it would probably not work on my apple tv since my synology NAS is placed remotely and not the same network as the ATV 
Aha did not know that. I do believe that your nas has to be on the local network

If you have a VPN between locations, in theory it should work. And I think that a jailbroken ATV2 can also access a remote PMS (using MyPlex userid).
moody_blue. I have an ATV3 so this not an option i Guess.

Not my discussion, I did the same and it is all spelled out here. You just have to install a version of Plexconnect locally and then you can connect to remote server. From the thread:
“Run a local plexconnect instance at the new site and point you atv DNS to your plexconnect host at your new location then sign into myplex to access you syno located elsewhere.”
