Plexify | OS X Application

Oh god. I'm stopping development!

Some of you even can't read notes! Others think I'm their personal developer who should do what you want.
Well, if you want something that's not implemented go and write your own app. Happy coding!

No one meant to complain, this app is AWESOME and we are just reporting bugs and giving ideas for features. I'm waiting for auto-start to get back :)

Thanks so much and please check out this idea:

Another feature i just thought of, that after all the other features and this one will be in the app it'll be PERFECT:

Option to change the app PlexConnect will Hijack-I mean, it's possible to use PlexConnect with Trailers, iMovie Theater, WSJ Live and probably more. So you can create an option for this in settings, and every app you'll choose the Plexify app will change PlexConnect files to the right Domains and will do that automatically with every Github update!

Tomer, I don’t think asking for even more features is going to help the situation. lol.

what did i say earlier.. people just ignore and love trolling..... btw anyone know what is 'helper? It says plexconnect running but helper not running

It would be a shame if you would stop development on this.

I for one, love the app and it was just what I was searching for.

Just giving my feedback. Great work!

It appears that, for now, you will have to use your existing trailers.pem file unless you manually install the certificate profile generated by Plexify (which resides in certificates folder in the Library/Application Support/Plexify/Plexconnect-master/assets folder. There is also a button in Plexify which will take you to Plexconnect-master). The “Install Certificate” function is in the Advanced Settings, which, it is clearly stated, are not yet working. Auto-start is also forthcoming.

Nice work Cyberon. I appreciate the effort you have put into this.

Not sure you're correct on this. Mine has the trailers.pem , .cer and .key files in the assets/certificates folder and I didn't manually copy them there so it must have done it during the setup. The only thing I skipped was to install the certificate on the ATV since that's already there.

Oops - if you mean installing the cert on the ATV then yes you're right - sorry!!

Yes, that is what I meant.

plexify is being difficult and sometimes won't start or stop plexconnect.

what files do you need to diagnose this?

Open the Log file, you can do that from preferences

I lost surround sound when I switched to Plexify. Any ideas? I made sure that under pled prefs, advanced transcoder that the Enable Dolby Digital on Apple TV was still checked.

Also if my Transcoder settings on the ATV itself are set to 1080p 40MBps all my Blurays play green and pixelated. If I drop it down to 20MBps it works fine. Anyone else run into these problems?

Please check the forum, it has nothing to do with Plexify. Most probably you have two instances of PlexConnect and one of them is running

Ok… Got it “running” - at least it thinks it is, judging form what the Plexify gadget says… Took me a while to remember to remove PlexConnect from autostart…

Problem is that when Plexify is running there are no trailers on my ATV anymore. Turn it off and PlexConnect back on - and the PMS “trailers” are back on.

So - it doesn’t work, and the logs are rapidly filling up but saying nothing but:
2013-11-13 00:03:52,731 sudo[9233] MiniMac : TTY=unknown ; PWD=/ ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/Users/MiniMac/Library/Application Support/Plexify/PlexConnect-master/Plexify.bash status

Where do I go from here?

ok

how come my log and cfg file don't have permissions to be read and write by my account?

even the console is blank when i click the log button in prefs.

i had to change the permissions in finder in order to send it

plus it seems to get constantly overwritten

Dude stop complaining! Just don't use it. Almost everyone here knows how to run it through terminal or apple script. If the app doesn't work for you just ignore it. I'll not even explain you why it's changing permissions!

I think it's because of certificates. Either install new certificate on your Apple TV or replace the newly generated cert with your older one.

hey, i thought you wanted bug reports. how foolish of me.

hmm, you think it's a bug report? it's not.

really? when i click the log button in plexify prefs, the console window that opens is blank.

What is that? a feature request?

if you prefer a different format for bug reports, please direct me to instructions on how to file one.

End of quote.

An dead right you are!!! That cleared the last obstacles and Plexify is up and running. Now I can start to look forward to all coming feats and improvements,
