I thought this was a Beta version that was put out to testers. Beta versions of any software have issues and developers usually accept feedback/bug reports in order to improve their software and the experience the software gives to end users.
@Cyberon, you seem to have taken any feedback as a personal attack on yourself and your work. You won't win much support by telling the users of your software to not use it if they don't like it. There is no point in raising the point about whether or not users have paid for the software, because there have been requests to donate money to the developers and these requests have been turned down.
I think it might be best not to release a beta publicly but only to a select few to avoid these issues in future. Cyberon has done amazing work on this and obviously has had to devote an enormous amount of personal time and effort as no doubt this isn't his day job! The last thing anyone wants is for this to go down when so much has been done because of an impatient few.
I really love this app, and no one but no one here is complaining, everyone just want to help. From some reason, like someone already told you take our feedback as personal attack .. Why? We are just giving feedbacks :)
Thanks so much for your hard work, if you don't want to keep developing, please post the source code so we can keep work on this, you already worked hard, it'll be a shame to just stop here and take all your hard work to trash
My suggestion is to just leave it a few days and don't post anything, especially anything derogatory, as it may be that he'll change his mind and finish the job. So it might not have died completely. Meanwhile we all have a pretty good way of starting PlexC without having to issue terminal commands so I'm happy enough with that for the time being.

Well put. With a bit of luck, when he calms down he will see that most of you liked the app and tried to cheer on.
You guys that still bother to write in idiotic posts, please stop. You are not making anything better. I will also help deleting posts in here to get this back on track. Even though I do not use Plexconnect, I can see the value in the work done here.
This is rather sad as this app shows great promise and yes I found some glitches but worked out for myself how to fix them. Perhaps these morons complaining should realise that this is BETA and stop whingeing and let Cyberon get on with it.
Cyberon please don't give up - you're dong a great job and this project is worthwhile and there's lots of us appreciate your unpaid work.
It's kind of hard to revoke the beta release now from the public mob (another word for domain....) so when people are getting to ahead of themselves and development - just tell them that it is a project in the development phase and THEY PAYED NOTHING! The whole of the Plex world is a development in progress- it hasn't even status of version 1.0 yet. Apart from those who bought NAS'es with old Plex versions on nobody really has the right to complain nor being abusive. Frustrated -yes, that's only human.
And it is the frustration from people who don't really know what they are talking about nor what they are doing - people like myself - that you have to find a way to cope with. Or not - ignore them!
But PLEASE don't abandon the rest of us - I only got it working like 5 minutes before you pulled he plug!
Why, oh why is using quotes clearing the content of my replies the moment I click Post???? And this is no complaint to Cyberon, it is a complaint to whatever/whoever runs this site....
@Cyberon, if you do continue with development you may want to keep an eye on this (it should solve for OSX daemon issues and even provide a script to load into launchctl) as it will fix ones of the main outstanding issues for your helper app within the main code of PlexConnect:
This was the coolest thing to happen to PlexConnect. I grew tired of the "new folder at terminal, sudo ./plexconnect.py xxx, github update routine." Some of you just overwhelmed him which is completely understandable. I'd feel that way too. He has a life outside of the forum. Like he said, he isn't a slave and that's how he was treated. Let him develop the basic app and then segue into other stuff if he chooses. Not everyone has the same setup, but he was trying to please the majority of us with the norm. Plus, it's free. They weren't even accepting donations.
There was a complete page of what the icon should look like. Bugs first, aesthetics and other crap later. Be patient.
I hope whoever agitated the team sincerely apologizes to them without any excuses.
