Plexignore finetuning

I’m reorganising my extensive doctor who collection and to that end i need to finetune the plexignore file. Right now i have the 2 series split into

Doctor Who (1963) and Doctor Who (2005). Ideally i’d like to group these later in a single DrWho folder later. This problem is for the 1963 version

The classic series has a bucketload of episodes split into multiple parts. For my organisational purposes i’ve placed each part into their own subfolder of the season subfolder. So an episode’s folder structure looks like this.

F:\Complete Series\Doctor Who (1963)\S01\Doctor Who - S01E01 (001) - An Unearthly Child - Parts 1-4
F:\Complete Series\Doctor Who (1963)\S01\Doctor Who - S01E02 (002) - The Daleks - Parts 1-7

in that last folder would then the actual video files be the actual video files. For certain episodes, i have specials that are SPECIFIC to that individual episode. They are placed in a proper folder “Specials”. The problem is that my plexignore file doesn’t seem to be working to tell plex to ignore that “Specials” subfolder within the individual subfolder. This is what i have now

The .plexignore file sits at the root of the “Doctor Who (1963)” folder

#ignore a folder called "extras" at "Doctor Who (1963)\extras"
/extras/*

#Ignore a folder called "Specials" at "Doctor Who (1963)\Specials"
/Specials/*

#Ignore episode specific specials at "Doctor Who (1963)\S**\Episode **\Specials"
/*/*/Specials/*

The first * afaik matches the S** (Season)
The second * should match the individual episode folder
The “Specials” should thus match the “Specials” subfolder within the individual episode folder
the third * then tells it to ignore all files in that episode specific specials folder

But it’s not working.

The full path to such an episode specific special for example is

F:\Complete Series\Doctor Who (1963)\S01\Doctor Who - S01E02 (002) - The Daleks - Parts 1-7\Specials\Doctor Who - S01E43 (002) Bonus - Creation of the Daleks.avi

What am i doing wrong?

Looks right. Can you run a scan and get me the full PMS logs?

Sure, if i knew what to activate and where to get you one so it’s a full and not a default one.

By scan, I mean “scan library files” for that library.

PMS Settings \ Troubleshooting \ Download logs. You will get a zip file. Attach that zip file to your next comment.

Did some more restructuring. I’ve moved the individual episode extra’s out of their individual episode folders and grouped everything together into an “extras” folder sitting at the root of the “Doctor Who (1963)” folder holding all seasons

In the extras folder there’s 3 subfolders

\Doctor Who
\extras
\extras\Doctor Who Timeperiods <= just holds some txt files
\extras\Spin-offs\ <== holds a ton of spin-offs audio/video files that create “duplicates” on actual season episodes, which obviously pose a problem for playback.
\extras\Doctor Who Classic - DVD Extras Collection/ <= shitload of episode specific extras

.plexignore file contents

#Negeer complete folders
/extras/*
/extras/Spin-offs/*
/extras/Doctor Who Classic - DVD Extras Collection/*

Finally seems to be working. Now if i can cut that down to a single line. That’d be awesome
