I cannot replicate the crashes you guys experience with the library sync. I extended the logging so that we might find something. Thanks if you could try 1.0.6 and share your logs, PM if you don’t want to do it publicly

Since PKC 1.0.3 i have zero issues with the initial sync here!
But there’s something weird going on after i stop a video and get back to the menus.
I’ve made a small video to show you what i mean.
Look at the blinking of the items and background image on the home screen.
It’s especially annoying when finishing an episode of a TV show and the focus keeps jumping back to the default episode (see 0:35 in the video).
It seems to keep reloading again and again for about 40 seconds up to a minute. I guess this is due the fact PKC is still in early stages. Just wanted to point that out. Thanks!
Im pretty sure your seeing the same thing I have been posting about all along. Since your skin is using thumbnails for the library list its even more apparent. It does eventually stop with some of the new builds. My guess its an artifact of the database being updated as with my setup you can also see little pop up sync messages.
I was getting this too. It would stop after 20 seconds or so. After upgrading to 1.0.5, it’s much better. Only flickered once.
Kodi has been abruptly shutting down when trying to play a movie with trailers turned on though. As soon as I hit the play button Kodi just shuts down. Turning off trailers off seems to solve this issue though.

@MartinAyla said: @croneter Should 1.0.7 fix the scan errors for special signs (Æ Ø Å etc.)?
Yes. That was actually never the problem. If something still goes wrong, you’ll get a popup telling you that some items could not get scanned.
I’m getting a lot of errors in the debug log with 1.0.7 (for example PlexCompanion seems to be crashing in a loop, it has been in all versions of PKC though). And the ‘load mediainformation from files…’ dialog doesn’t go away in Kodi.

PM sent with the new debug log.
I’ve seen that, yes. Plex Companion is doing something it should not in your case. Thanks for the logs.
What do you mean with “load mediainformation from files”?

As far as I can tell, everything synced. Played something and was working fine. Bugs:
If I play something, it does not show up in Now Playing on PMS.
If I go to the movies or TV shows node, it keeps refreshing the list every 2 seconds making it impossible to scroll and select a movie/TV show.
I can confirm these bugs on 1.0.7.
Just wanted to add, FANTASTIC WORK! The dream of a perfect plex/kodi merge is finally here. This is what the plex devs should have focused on a long time ago instead of trying to build a new home theater from the ground up.
Good news: On a fresh OpenElec I got everything syncing and working great. There was some odd flickering behavior going on on my home screen after playing something through a widget, then stopping it and going back to the main menu. It went away after 3-4 pulses.
Bad news: I broke the installation by trying to set up multiple users. I set up a new Kodi profile for my wife and it crapped out the addon for both my wife’s profile AND mine.

Could you also elaborate please?
What exactly is not working, at which point of the setup process?
PMS in the same network or remote?
PMS and kodi on the same PC?
is your PMS signed in to plex.tv? (reachable from the outside)

logs please
As soon as I log into the secondary profile, the addon just says “error”. When I log into my master profile, it is also not connecting. Nothing will play. I believe it has something to do with Kodi profiles and trying to have addons with dif settings for dif users. In PlexBMC, I used the addon itself to switch users and could never get Kodi profiles working.
No, PMS is on a local LAN.
Yes
Working on logs, having some difficulty locating the relevant ones on openelec this time around. Will try to reproduce and log.
UPDATE: Can confirm reboot fixes master profile. But logging in the secondary profile will break addon for both users until reboot.
