Hi there, working much better for me now with 1.0.7, thanks :slight_smile: I did a fresh install of kodi & plugins on ubuntu 14, after it ran the scan it said “Sync had to skip some items because they could not be processed.   1. Connection via the help of https://plex.tv/link is not possible, eventhough the page confirms that the app is connected and can be used via Plex. After changing the connection to localhost the app connects fine and I can select the user. Sync starts then without problem. Only the automatic connection via PIN is not working.

    1. PMS and kodi are on the same PC

I believe it has something to do with Kodi profiles and trying to have addons with dif settings for dif users. In PlexBMC, I used the addon itself to switch users and could never get Kodi profiles working.

UPDATE: Can confirm reboot fixes master profile. But logging in the secondary profile will break addon for both users until reboot.

So you are talking about Kodi profiles, not plex ones? Never tried these :slight_smile:

No worries, I thought that was how we were to setup a multi-user environment. If there is a ‘switch user’ option in the addon, I can just bind that to the main menu and hopefully it’ll work. Will let you know. Thanks so much! This addon is going to get me serious WAF points!

Ok, I tried using the ‘switch plex user’ functionality in the addon itself instead of using 2 dif kodi profiles but it also doesn’t work. :confused: Just gives me the ‘are you sure you logged in’ error when I try to switch users so as of now the addon does not support multi users I think.

When you say “restart” do you mean to restart the kodi.exe or the plexserver.exe??

Fixed on reboot. Not gonna question it. :slight_smile: However, is there a way to make the switch user function more elegant and faster? It takes 5-7 seconds to switch, and then another 1-2 seconds while on the home screen before widgets change. In terms of elegance, when I bind ‘switch user’ from the plugin to the menu, and click on it, it does not take me straight to a switcher pop-up, it takes me to the root tree of my PMS in the addon and if I wait 3 seconds, the switcher pops up. I hit a user, and then wait 2 seconds for it to login, and then I have to manually back out of the addon back to the home screen.

What would be ideal is either having a ‘switch user’ node from skin main menu go directly into the account chooser, and upon choosing an account, immediately take you back to the root main menu of Kodi OR be able to bind the ability to switch to user A, B, C directly from a command that can be bound to a remote.

Here’s an interesting observation. If I have Kodi library view open showing a list of movies and I access PMS on another device, if I mark a movie watched on PMS, Kodi updates instantly (along with the 10 seconds of mini pop up messages as always). If I do the opposite and mark an already watched move as unwatched on PMS, Kodi does not update. Of course this is not something we would be doing on a regular basis but it does show a sync issue happening.

I installed PKC onto a fresh install of Kodi on an Ubuntu 14.04 Virtual
Machine but same issue; no artwork for tv show season posters.

I have also noticed that my music files aren’t showing but the artwork,
folder structure are all there.

Movies are all good.

Ok I lied, appears movies are fine, but TV shows are not showing any seasons. FYI, I have five ‘libraries’, TV, Movies, Kids TV, Movies and Documentaries.

Incremential background sync should now update your Kodi library in seconds. Any “screen flashing” that you’ve experienced should also be a thing of the past (happens only if you actually change a PMS item).

As a sidenote - since you’ve started complaining about missing TV season posters, I guess PKC is running pretty stable :smiley:

I can confirm that the flashes are completely gone and syncs happen instantly in both directions!

How do you guys handle the different movie sections from PMS with PKC?

For example, I have a “Movies” section and a “Test Patterns” section on my PMS, after a scan with PKC in Kodi, those sections are merged - ie. if I choose “Recently Added Movies” in Kodi, it shows both my Movies and Test Patterns, which is not what I want :slight_smile:
