Anyone here got Artwork Beef successfully working? If yes, any settings that need to be changed? My seem to get stuck after downloading one item…
I just updated to the unsupported Kodi nightly with the the latest PKC 2.5.12. Everything works so far. I did need to change the DB_VIDEO_VERSION to 114 and rebuild the PKC database.
I’m also curious about the PKC setting to use Plex subtitles. It doesn’t seem to work. I know the movie has subtitles when I look at it in Plex but in Kodi I have to download subtitles from the Kodi subtitles tool.

This breaks the fancy Plex login screen and also stops you from being able to press “Yes” when asked if you want to reset your db. Remove that from your advancedsettings.xml if you have it and you can add it back later
Reinstalled everything and updated to latest Beta. Disabled artwork from PMS and have Artwork Beef instead. But it gets stuck after downloading 1 item.

I was struggling with the new versions of plex/LirbreELEC/kodi due to a massive server update.
I decided to upgrade it because i had some vacation, but the changes in kodi were so massive i spend days switching versions.
And new versions were released in those same days , it thought i was doing something wrong.
I wish i could help you , you helped me in the past with these kind of issues so thanks for that

You are using Kodi 18 RC2 when an “official” RC4 (NOT the nightly versions) is available and PlexKodiConnect is optimized for RC4.
Please use the “official” RC4 from https://kodi.tv/download. And just as a warning: CoreElec or LibreElec are still struggling with their beta versions. I’d suggest you still use Kodi 17.6 if you do have to use either one of these distributions.
You are using PKC Add-on Paths and artwork tries to extract images from the videos. Obviously, it cannot access them with the “weird” PKC paths like plugin://plugin.video.plexkodiconnect.movies/?plex_id=115964&plex_type=movie&mode=play&filename=1 Mile To You 2017 WEBDL-1080p.AAC.x264.strife.mp4.
Your options:
If you’re using PKC Add-on Paths, PKC should tell Kodi to automatically show the “correct” subtitle Plex suggests (due to your PMS settings).
If Plex subtitles are missing, that’s because PKC cannot just grab them and make them available for Kodi. You can still access them by using the Kodi context menu on the video, then choose Force Transcode. You’ll be prompted to select a subtitle. The ones not being “natively” available to Kodi will show up with the additional text “burn-in” - because the PMS will have to burn them in while transcoding.

Do you know if it is possible in Artwork Beef? I tried some settings but no success. Also posted on Kodi forum.
