Use the PlexKodiConnect beta version, currently 2.5.21
Thank you for this wonderful add-on. I haven’t understand just one thing: is possible to use any Kodi add-on let’s say on the top of PKC, so is it also possible to install a trailer add-on (because I haven’t a Plex account) and so have the button inside the info section of a movie with which I can see the trailer?
I’m seeing constant errors in my Plex logs:
Unable to find client profile for device; platform=Linux, platformVersion=unknown, device=Linux, model=unknown
I read I can fix it by adding a PlexKodiConnect.xml file in my Profile Directory.
I stopped the Plex server, copied Generic.xml and renamed it to PlexKodiConnect.xml
Started the Plex server but the problem remains.
Anyone have a clue?
PlexKodiConnect v2.4.11
Plex Server: v1.14.1.5488 (Windows)
I had the exact same problem. The xml file worked for a short time, but from v2 onward I got the same error. I had posted about it a few times, but never got a response. The error appears every 2 seconds. However, when I rolled PKC back to version 1.8.18 the error stopped. So I have not applied any updates after rolling back to an older version. The old version functions well enough.
My plex server is on Ubuntu 18.04 and Kodi on an Nvidia Shield.
Can’t get logs this time but 2.5.21 is killing the server like before just FYI @croneter.
@MediaHorder
What do you mean, exactly? 2.5.22 is already out, working fine here…
Please help with translating PKC
I updated some strings for the upcoming major PKC update. Thanks if you can take some time and help translate PKC to your mother tongue. It’s really easy and straight-forward: https://www.transifex.com/croneter/pkc/dashboard/
Sorry I didn’t get a chance to test .22.
You know how you tried out my massive library before and it took Plex down completely?
That same problem, also saw 401 Unauthorised.
That is super unspecific, unfortunately. Please try again and share a log ![]()
Do you know what is wrong?
Doing Dutch translations as we speak (nick: Panja0)
[update]
Dutch translation is done!
Nope. Please open an issue on Github following How to Report A Bug · croneter/PlexKodiConnect Wiki · GitHub
Many thanks! Just added a couple more strings - if you don’t mind

No worries! I’ve translated the new strings as well.
Will open an issue on GitHub. Cheers
How do I select a Plex managed user within the PlexKodiConnect settings to use? My Plex user is greyed out in the settings and I can’t change it to another user. Using the latest beta.
Navigate to Add-ons, Video Add-ons, PlexKodiConnect, Log-out Plex home user
Getting closer to a stable update…

Again, nice work croneter.
I’d like to report a small bug. Companion casting works great but when I rename the companion Device Name (i.e. to Kodi-Living-Room) it shows up as ‘Kodilocalhost’ in the tablet I’m casting from.
Thanks
