I guess the answer is No then. Maybe QNAP has not updated to stable Kodi 18 yet…
When I update to latest stable from previous stable, do I really need to reset db?
I can’t afford another artwork retrieval for all my media (additional artwork)
Yes you do, unfortunately.
Ok, np.
Thank you for this great addon! Been using it for a long time
Hi, @croneter. Thanks for all your work on this terrific add-on. Today I saw this error at the same time on 3 separate machines running Kodi (PKC 2.6.1 on all three, one is Kodi v18 on windows, the other two Kodi v17.6 on Linux):

Afterward, none of the Kodi instances could sync with Plex. I could delete a file from Plex, for instance, but none of the Kodi instances would show that deletion until restarted.
Thanks for the report, opened an issue on Github: KeyError: sessionKey and PKC not synching as a consequence · Issue #659 · croneter/PlexKodiConnect · GitHub
That’s an “unusual” message from the PMS. Just reboot Kodi for now. It’s rather unlikely that it happens again soon
NP, thanks for the response.
2.6.1
Any reason I’m randomly seeing my libraries disappear from the PKC addon settings menu?
I’ve updated to v2.6.1 but I do not see the newly translated strings (248 + 249).
Still the old, incorrect ones.
Can you have a look for v2.6.2?
@PlexUserPlex
I did pull the Norwegian translations yesterday. Please make tripple sure that the strings are indeed correct on Transifex
I’m talking about the Dutch translations.
String 248 + 249 are correct.
Changelog
version 2.6.3:
- Fix PKC crashing on Xbox
version 2.6.2:
- Fix playlist sync: sequence item 0: expected string or unicode
- Fix PKC not deleting all the items it should
- Fix keyError ‘sessionKey’ for weird PMS messages
- Fix artwork caching AttributeError: ‘ImageCachingThread’ object has no attribute ‘cancel’
- Improve pop-up “Searching for PMS”
- Fix FutureWarning
Hello, I installed PlexKodiConnect and the metadata was copied correctly but when trying to play a movie or TV series does not play.
The plex server is installed on a NAS connected to the home network and the kodi is in an Nvidia shield TV box also connected to the home network.
PS: I have the plex addon works correctly.
@m.r.f
Make sure that you have “Add-on Paths” selected in the PKC settings under Sync. Then “Reset the Kodi database…” under Advanced (in red), hit YES, NO
Thank you, I updated to version 2.6.2 and it already works.
But there is another problem if I try to see a movie that has not finished before, it asks me if I want to see the last position or the beginning, but if you select to beginning he always plays from the last position.
Local extras not playing to.
Is it possible to SYNC only some Plex Library´s? What must i do?
Nope. All or none. It’s a feature that’s been requested already on the feathub.
@m.r.f
The first issue will be fixed in the next PKC version tomorrow - thanks for reporting!
For the second issue with local extras, I need more intell - please open an issue according to https://github.com/croneter/PlexKodiConnect/wiki/How-to-Report-A-Bug
Hi! I have the same problem as m.r.f .Kodi is updated to 18 Leia and PKC to 2.6.3. A new library scan was made and all my movies and tv-shows are found but there is no artwork and I can’t play anything. I resetted the kodi database but it didn’t help. I’m looking for “Add-on Paths” but can’t really find it.
I saw that that #648 was released in 2.6.1, but I reset the Kodi database and the artwork on one of my profiles is still not showing up. I’m at 2.6.3 now and still no luck. To reset the database I’m using the option under “Advanced” and resetting the Kodi database but not resetting PKC (I try to avoid that since it involves doing a lot of typing on an Android device). Is there something else to try?
