PlexKodiConnect: Kodi Plex Integration Done Right

All is syncing fine, TV Shows, Movies, Music and Concerts. Seems my skin is playing up on the menu tab. All good my friend

Hi is their a way to backup settings of pkc propely ? I would like to do a new clean install of kodi. Thanks

Simply grab the file settings.xml from the subfolder addons/plugin.video.plexkodiconnect from the Kodi user data folder. Replace it with your new Kodi installation

Thanks really appreciated

version 2.6.8 (beta only):
Fix rare case where thousands of identical playlists could be generated

Because of this show stopper I switched to the beta version, but without success.
The misbehavior still occurs with version 2.6.9. I disabled the playlist sync to stop the flood.

If you’re “already in the flood”, stopping it will be difficult - upgrading PKC probably won’t help.

@Violetto. The fix @croneter mentioned will worked, it solved my 30,000+ playlist corruption

Just reporting in that my entire library isn’t being synced in the new version of PKC.

Westworld s02 is visable on all players except for PKC.

Try this: go to Advanced in the PKC settings, then hit Repair the Kodi database (force-update all content).

If that does not help, see here please: How to Report A Bug · croneter/PlexKodiConnect Wiki · GitHub
Right now, I don’t even know which PKC or Kodi version you are using…

Selective sync of Plex libraries out for everyone, now

Changelog

version 2.7.0:

  • WARNING: You will need to reset the Kodi database if you’re using the stable version of PKC!
  • Version 2.6.6-9 for everyone
  • Choose which Plex libraries get synched to Kodi

Just installed v2.7.0 and can confirm my problem has been fixed.
# Errors in PMS Log: Unable to find client profile #634

Profile is Konvergo is what I see now.

Why do we need to reset the db with every release?

Using this for 1 month now , very great looking/working addon for Kodi so far
I have just one problem with subtitle
With embedded subtitle it works just fine I can choose subtitle/next subtitle .
But when comes to external subtitle it can cannot load. So suppose I have the .srt file in the same folder as the movie PMP show as external subtitle in the drop down menu(works as well in PMP) but during the playback in Kodi it starts the search for the subtitle . Sometimes it works download the subtitle and displays it but some times subtitle download failed message pops up.
Is there any thing can be done about this . Sorry if it asked previously

Sorry for that . It won’t be necessary for quite a while now, if ever!

You need to use PKC Direct Paths, which is NOT easy so set-up.

I can try setting it up . Main thing is after the direct path is enabled will the resume points be synced with PMS?

Of course!

Ok , I am trying to do the direct path
So currently my setup is Plex is installed on my NAS the content is in
/shares/Volume_2/Movies
/shares/Volume_1/TVShows
I am running Kodi on my local media center PC
So I have added the smb paths but the problem with that is Kodi path is smb://NAS/Movies and smb://NAS/TVShows . So PKC tries to add smb://NAS/shares/Volume_2/Movies and smb://NAS/shares/volume_1/TVShows which does not exists on sharing.

Any suggestion on this .
Thanks

Follow option 2: Option 2 Substitute Paths on the PMS · croneter/PlexKodiConnect Wiki · GitHub

That still requires the Direct Path to be enabled
Problem is I am not able to enable the direct path because of the share location variables.
Plex Library is only available via /share/Volume_1/Movies… and Kodi only take /NAS/Movies .
