Hi mate, will do. Assumed as much but I’m putting it off as I’ll have to enter those paths again
Be aware that background sync does NOT work for managed Plex home users (it only works for the admin user).
What’s the implication of this issue? Will a full sync still save play/resume state for home users or is that functionality completely broken as it only works on a background sync?
Implications:
- If you play another video with the same Plex user somewhere else, the playstate is not immediately synched to Kodi (only during full sync)
- If you add, delete or modify a PMS element like a movie, this change is only picked up during full sync
This has always been a limitation, by the way.
Well that actually didn’t fix it…
Anything else I should try? (I’m the only home user listed so I assume it’s not to do with that)
Nope never mind! Restarted the Shield and that seems to have done the trick
Does this affect only “managed users” or also users who have their own Plex account and I share with them my libraries, regardless if they’re part of my Plex Home or not?
It affects “foreign” users as well - basically everyone NOT admin to the PMS
Suggest everyone votes for https://forums.plex.tv/t/open-plex-websockets-for-managed-users to get any chance of them ever fixing it
Very strange, when I try to click on the link I get an “Access Denied” error.
Thank you, you great piece of forum software! Here is the new link:
Hello, I have not used it for a very long time and have not updated anything, now I have updated to version 2.6.5 and nothing starts. Writes error plexkodiconnect and plexkodikonnect helper (and movie and TV) base in the settings updated. With previous versions that I checked all the same (2.6, 2.5, 2.4)
Kodi does have issues with updating add-ons from time to time, unfortunately.
That’s probably caused by the 2 dependency add-ons plugin.video.plexkodiconnect.movies and plugin.video.plexkodiconnect.tvshows. Make sure that the first one has version 2.0.8, second one 2.0.9
If that does not help, I need your log file: https://github.com/croneter/PlexKodiConnect/wiki/How-to-Report-A-Bug

Haha! I left that issue in the plex forum, and the tech guy who responded to the 1300 playlists generated question was quite perplexed! I had never considered it may have been PKC.
https://forums.plex.tv/t/playlists-wrongly-generated-by-plex/341398/2
What solved it for me was not using embedded tags when adding the music library.
Now i owe you another coffee! I did not see any option the other day to buy more than one coffee however, is that by purpose or did I miss something?
Holy sh!tballs man, I’ve been waiting for this forever. Thank you!
@croneter As always excellent work, with the new feature “Choose which Plex Libraries to Sync” Is it suppose to find all your Plex Libraries, it doesn’t appear to have synced Concerts. Although I think it is skin related as i can get to them.
So alternative question, are you able to go back into PKC settings and select a single library to resync ??
PKC does NOT show music libraries if you have “Enable Music Library” is deactivated.
To reselect libraries, hit “Select Plex libraries to sync” in the Sync settings. Voilà
