“Just” pick the PKC widgets when you customize your skin. Be careful to navigate via Video Add-ons → PlexKodiConnect → Whatever when you’re setting up a movie or show widget (Kodi limitation). You can test them by simply opening the PlexKodiConnect, e.g. via Add-ons → Video Add-ons → PlexKodiConnect
The More... video node for libraries basically mirrors the different Plex views of a library. These nodes are a bit slower to load since the PMS needs to be contacted (most other nodes are directly “assembled” by Kodi and thus a bit faster).
Since version 2.7.5 I’ve been having 2 issues with my Music library and I’m stumped. What happens is after PKC does it’s initial scan, I go into my library in artist view it looks fine, but after I have restarted Kodi and does it’s scheduled scan when I go into artist view and drill into the albums I see duplicate entries for each album. If I go into the duplicate it’s empty.
Near as I can tell when Kodi does it’s scheduled scan I think it’s picking up the “Artists” tag instead of the “Artist” tag causing the second, empty entry. The reason I think this is happening is one of my albums, a classical guitar album the Artist is Andres Segovia but the Artists have several other artists listed. When the Kodi scan finishes scanning this album all the Artists under the Artists tag now show up under the Artist view of the Music library.
I’ve tried clean installing PKC and disabling all other plugins. Any ideas?
Hi really looking for help as I cannot for the life of me figure it out.
I run an online PMS and was working fine till Jan. Then all of a sudden every few min it errors that PMS is offline and then error in Lib Sync.
I have disabled constant Lib Sync in settings but it still does it.
Anyone come across this it has only started since the 2.6.0 update of PKC log files of whats happening here http://clearstreamreborn.com/log/PKC-Log.txt ( I have blanked out the token with XXX)
Thanks
Kodi caches all artwork from the PMS automatically. This leads to a lot of “hits” for the PMS upon pkc installation.
Looks like your PMS has some kind of firewall that has a limit for the number of calls you can do before being blocked for a while
Workaround: deactivate using Plex artwork in the PKC settings, then Reset the Kodi database. Then use e…g. Artwork Beef to get artwork directly
