No, I use the default Estuary skin. Maybe give it a shot temporarily to see if that works and then switch back.
I only have sort Ascending and Descending. Not sure where I went wrong. I got the Silvo skin from the repository. Maybe I should manually re-install it manually?
I only have “Sort” no “Sort By” option. It’s flat out missing. Not sure what I did wrong?
Try starting from scratch with a clean Kodi installation
Hah, thanks a ton for that log! I managed to identify some rare cases where the database locked up. Fixed in the next PKC beta version. See here for more info: Fix database being locked in rare cases by croneter · Pull Request #1058 · croneter/PlexKodiConnect · GitHub
So you’re good, I don’t need another log
I’m rather proud of this version - some nasty bugs were fixed that have been around for quite a while!
Changelog
version 2.10.3 (beta only):
- Fix a couple of issues with music when using direct paths: correctly escape music paths for Kodi regex matching
- Fix Recently Added Albums sort order (you will have to reset the Kodi database manually)
- Fix database being locked in rare cases
- Increase batch size for library sync from 500 to 2000 to increase sync speed
- Optimize some code
- Fix KeyError when using Plex search capabilities
- Check faster for available Plex Media Server to connect to
This does not work. I downloaded the newest version of Kodi and PKC from both Git and using the repository. there is no “Sort By” option at all. what version of kodi are you using?
Did you reset the Kodi Database in the PKC settings under Advanced? If so, do share your Plex Media Server with me so I can have a look
Sweet! I’m on the stable version right now, but I’ll give the beta a shot. If that issue is truly fixed it would be absolutely fantastic as far as WAF goes.
Also, what was this rare issue if you don’t mind sharing? Something unique to my setup? Because the database was getting locked every couple of days.
Basically just bad luck on your part. My database never locked once. You can stick to stable, I’ve updated it as well
Amazing! Thanks for all your work.
Problem solved! Thank you so much! The “deactivate for chromecast” option did the trick. sorry for the late answer. Great job!
Is it possible to use Universal Movie Scraper with PKC? Can’t seem to find where to change it.
I think so. Be sure to deactivate the download of additional artwork in the PKC settings. You might also need to use PKC Direct Paths
Deactivate additional artwork download, and use direct paths. Right, before I go any further, I’ve gone to file manager > storage > movies > switch media > videos > set content. Is that the correct path to use, don’t want to confirm and mess it up lol.
Don’t do that! PKC manages your library, including setting the content.
Whoops, almost messed up. Where do I go to change scrapers for PKC?
You don’t. PKC contacts the PMS to grab all metadata from there. Hence if you want to change scrapers or more generally the metadata, do it on the PMS side.
