You need to share another debug log where you tried to play a movie. I can’t see anything otherwise
Is there anyway to use PlexKodiConnect pointed at a remote server AND a local library on the same system running Kodi? If not is this something in development or could you please consider it?
OK so I managed to figure it out.
Original Plex Movie path to replace: /volume2/MediaDrive/Movies/
Replace Plex Movie with: nfs://10.xx.xx.xx/volume2/MediaDrive/Movies/
Originally I was using the ServerName and it needed to be theIP_Address/volume
Synology NAS with PMS
Nvidia Shield TV with Kodi/Plex Client
No. But have a look at this: Multiple Plex Media Servers · croneter/PlexKodiConnect Wiki · GitHub
Hi Croneter,
I am still experiencing issues with mark as watched from an expternal player. Have added new comments at github.
JC.
Edit: I got this figured out, seems that collections was the right way to do it, then I just did a force refresh.
I’m trying to figure out the best way to do this. I have roughly 50 shows in my “TV Shows” library. There are about 8 of these that are shows that my wife and I watch regularly that are still airing.
What’s the best way to have these a little separated so that I can easily access them in Kodi. Should I just add them to a collection, and then there’s some way to add that collection in Kodi? Do I use playlists?
What I want is to be able to add this sub-set as a widget in Kodi, so I don’t have to scroll through a ton of shows just to get to the 8 shows that we watch 95% of the time.
Hello, I have a probably stupid question but cant figure it out.
I have 3 libraries on my synology with media
…\media\movies
…\media\Series
…\media\Shows (like talkshows etc)
The integration in PKC for movies and series worked like a charm with direct path and direct play but how can I integrate my third library as there is no field for entering that location in anywhere in the PKC settings (Only movies, tv shows, music,…) and PKC is complaining, that it cant find the media files and if it should stop syncing.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
Please share your source filepaths as well as your network paths for these libraries. Plus your current PKC path replacement settings
Plex path:
/volume1/multimedia/Video/Movies
/volume1/multimedia/Video/Series
/volume1/multimedia/Video/Shows
Network path:
smb://devicename/multimedia/Video/Movies
smb://devicename/multimedia/Video/Series
smb://devicename/multimedia/Video/Shows
in the plex app it is working normally just with the direct path and direct play shows cant be played as I cant fill in the information in the settings.
Thank you
Hi Croneter,
Thank You for the wonderful addon.
Just had a small query, while in Plex if I have multiple version of the same file it displays the bitrate while selecting the file.
However in the addon it displays only the filename. My problem is I want to select the file with the lost size for optimum use of bandwidth.
Is there any way to see the bitrate/file size along with the file name.
Thanks

I’m looking to move away from Plex for Kodi to PlexKodiConnect, but an issue I have run into is I use Trakt Lists for collaborated series, like Arrowverse or Chicago PD,Fire, etc. however I haven’t had much luck as they just show as play lists that don’t offer the played items or whats unplayed more to the point.
I’m wondering if any one else users trakt for user created play lists that get sync’d and how the best way is to show them properly in Kodi using PlexKodiConnect, or is there another way to sync trakt lists to Kodi?
I love this plugin. I have used it for years now. Recently however, probably as the quality of my source material is getting marginally better, I am having issues.
I serve to multiple nuc clients around the home. The nuc’s are connected via a 2.5ghz wifi.
Problem I have is that I cannot get the when to transcode and then transcode settings right to give flawless none stuttering playback. In the main I’m not talking large files < 4GB and most are 1080p. Video still stutters or stops.
I’ve tried setting minimum thresholds on when to transcode, what to transcode to etc.
The frustrating thing is that a Chromecast (initiated from Plex on an iPhone) on the same tv, on the same wifi serving the same media (no matter what the quality - 4K - or filesize - 25GB) will playback flawlessly!!
Does anyone know what settings I can put into PKC that will best mirror what a Chromecast initiated by Plex from an iPhone does!?!
Thanks for this plugin. When I reset the resume position in kodi I notice that it comes right back. Is this normal behavior?
Hi Croneter,
Thanks for the wonderful plugin. I had a small query, like the Venom/exodus/TvZion app is there any way in which the “Trakt Liked List” is available in the PLC Addon.
Thanks
Finally got time to work on my odroid n2/coreelec/pkc setup and no real issues so far.
One small question.
When browsing the mobile app of plex while connected/casting to plex media player, plex media player reflects what you are looking at. E.g. if you go to the preplay screen of lets say Titanic, preplay/information screen for Titanic is also displayed on plex media player at the same time.
Is this possible on PKC?
No, there is not
Yeehaw, Plex Home Users should now also be able to enjoy an almost instanteneous background sync!! ![]()
Changelog
version 2.12.0 (beta only):
- Fix websocket threads; enable PKC background sync for all Plex Home users!
- Fix PKC incorrectly marking a video as unwatched if an external player has been used
- Update translations
Unfortunately, that is impossible with the way Kodi works currently ![]()
