I’m able to access the Vero via SSH using putty, but I have no fooking idea how to do anything. I read the instructions in the link you provided, but I don’t have the commands I need to do anything. I don’t speak linux, and command prompts have always given me hives. I feel like I have the intelligence of a one-celled organism when I’m confronted with these things. How about if I just uninstall PKC, and start over? Would that work?
Hold on–I’m thinking that the culprit might be the Vero 4K+. I tried to create a log using its functions, and now it’s stuck in logging mode. I posted an inquiry to the OSMC site, and I’ll get back to you. The Vero may be what’s causing the trouble.
I’ve been working with the support guys at OSMC, and they led me to find that the source for PKC was no longer working. Did it move? That explains why I can’t get into your newer versions. How do I update the source?
OK, I updated the source using your instructions on github. Somehow, the source got corrupted or changed, but I now have the latest stable version, and everything is back to normal! Thx for the assistance! PKC is still the best Plex client available!
Plex broke “Continue Watching”/“On Deck” since version 1.40.0 of PMS. You can no longer manually mark an episode of a new show as watched and have the next episode appear on the aforementioned section. This makes using an external player in Kodi and then marking the episode as watched much less useful.
Is there a way for PKC to send a message back to PMS that the item’s playstate has changed, basically tricking Plex into seeing it as played? Watched state is no longer enough since the changes they made.
Hi @only1hammy , sorry to hear that :-(. There’s no easy fix, I would need to know what kind of message to send to the PMS to mark an item as “correctly played”. Maybe a plex employee could chime in?
From testing, even signalling that the file has started playback for more than a handful of seconds makes it start appearing in “Continue Watching”. I’m saying things in very human terms as I don’t know how anything works on the backend.
I’ll tag these guys as they have been the most helpful in the thread I linked, maybe they can share some input @Atomatth@ChuckPa
Hello, does somebody knows what can I do if PKC doesn’t find some of clearlogos. Some of my movies and tvshows are missing it, but on fanart.tv exits.
I have clean install of Kodi and I use Arctic Fuse skin. Before this new clean install I had all clearlogos.
Is there any why to force to get missing clearlogos. If I run “Look for missing fanart on Fanart now” - doesn’t help.
And the other strange thing is, that some of my movies have clearlogo, display it for 7 seconds and then lose it. If I move to the second movie and back on the same movie, clearlogo come back and goes off after 7 seconds again.
@sscc could you please open a new issue on GitHub (GitHub · Where software is built)? What I need from you there: examples of the exact name of the media you’re missing clearlogos for, as well as a link to the existing clearlogo on fanart.tv. That would help immensely, thanks!
And I have one more thing with Continue watching. If I play movie/show through widget with libary link, I can see playing on Plex dash.
But If play movie/show trough PKC Continue watching there is nothing on Plex Dash or Tautulli, as I wouldn’t play nothing.
whenever i import a new season or entire series, it’s really annoying when PKC’s “Recently Added” widget gets crowded with all those new episodes. the option to enable grouping for new seasons would be an awesome feature
