My QNAP 251-A went through a number of updates and since then, Plex can not be reached.
When I log in on the client, I receive the following information: “PlexServer is currently unavailable. Verify you have a network connection and that the server is online, or see our troubleshooting tips for further assistance”
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Plex Media Server (1.16.6) but no change.
Unfortunately no progress here with this.
I’ve been searching about my problem but no solution applied to my use case.
There is absolutely no page in plex client or on QNAP that will allow me to “configure” anything.
It seems the only actions I can do is “open” Plex from QNAP ( This site can’t be reached)
and sign in My Plex where there is no option to discover library or configure settings
The latest version of Plex Server for QNAP is 1.19.4.x. You are stating 1.16.x make sure you have the latest version downloaded from Plex.tv and not from QNAP.
I have now manually installed the latest version of Plex and had the same problem.
But, after removing the ‘s’ from https, it got back to indexing my libraries.
