Hello - have enjoyed watching the maturity of Plex but an ongoing issue keeps popping up. In PlexTV, the metadata for every episode of specific shows (like 60 Minutes) are one episode off. For example, the meta for S50e36 (a story about Google) actually appears one week later, in S50e37 and so on. I have attempted to refresh the meta for the program and even checked my computer’s time/date, but it’s still not working. I do not have the “Fix Match” command that some on here have mentioned, but I am the administrator of the account.
Another show (CBS Sunday Morning) shows no metadata at all - just the episode, its length, runtime, etc. No summary of the show.
Can anyone assist me in clearing these matters up?
Fix match is at the show level not the episode level. I’m not clear if you are talking about EPG data or metadata from a manually added episode. What is the agent you have set up for your TV library and how are all he secondary agents arranged.
I checked both episode level and show level for Fix Match and it doesn’t appear at either spot. Also I’m not using agents at all - I just added the DVR and selected shows to record. I’m using an HDHomeRun box to record and use one folder to organize all of my recorded television programs. The process seems to work fine with other shows, just not these two.
If you are making recordings it saved to a library. Libraries use agents. Edit the library an you can see what main agent it is using. You can then look at the agent settings and see how the secondary agents are set up.
I found out the answer on the episode issue. TheTVDB has the 60 Minutes episodes out of order. Since Plex is pulling that meta from TVDB, it would make sense that everything is off. I posted on their forum to get the problem resolved.
EDIT: Another forum member on TVDB confirmed the issue as well, so let’s hope that gets the ball rolling towards a resolution.
