Sorry for another post regarding Atmos passthrough via PMP. Looked through various threads, but wasn’t able to fix whatever issue I’m having. Hopefully I can get some troubleshooting tips from the community!
Devices:
Windows 10 PC > hdmi > Yamaha RX-V2085 > hdmi > Samsung Q70
Synology DS218+ all wired to same network
PC:
Running PMP 2.50.0
Nvidia GTX 1080, Ryzen 3600x
Issue:
When playing Atmos movies in PMP, the receiver is only getting PCM and playing media back with 5.1 (Atmos channels are not lit up, and receiver info screen shows PCM). However, when playing the sample media in Dolby Access and playing games, I am getting all channels and receiver is showing Dolby Atmos.
In PMP, I enabled in Audio settings HDMI and all passthrough options available - I did not see Atmos as one, but read somewhere that it falls under Dolby TrueHD?
Things I’ve tried:
- updated/reinstalled geforce drivers, both for video and hd audio
- installed Dolby Access and configured for Home Theater (read PMP uses WASAPI, so doesn’t matter?)
- uninstalled Dolby Access, and setup Windows audio for just 7.1
- disabled enhancements in Windows audio settings, disabled allow apps exclusive control
- disabled and enabled realtek onboard audio, even though I’m using HDMI from GPU
- checked Yamaha receiver settings, not sure if there’s anything to change here
Not sure if there’s something I’m missing. Let me know if there’s anything else I need/should do. I know Atmos is working, but just not in PMP. If more detail is needed, I can upload pics later.
Thanks in advance!
