PMP Download speed issues in Windows 10

Server Version#: Version 1.22.0.4163
Player Version#: 1.29.1.1974-a65b3ef3

Hi,
I have a strange problem with using Plex Media Player in Windows 10. For a few days now, if I start a movie or an episode of a tv-show, the app only uses around 10Mbit/s (I have a 50Mbit connection). A speedtest I did to my remote server shows no issues with the connection, even downloading files via Filezilla works with normal speed. The odd thing is that I booted into an installed Linux system on my computer and Plex was working fine, using all the bandwidth it needed for a ~ 36Mbit movie and I could watch it without any buffering at all. I got an older version of PMP but it had the same issues in Windows 10. The friends I am sharing the server with are reporting similar problems with the download and it’s only the Plex Media Player that isn’t using enough bandwidth. There are NO bandwidth limits in place, everything is set to unlimited. To me this sounds like a problem in Windows but I just can’t figure it out also I couldn’t find any similar reports from other users.

EDIT: Something messed with network settings of Windows. A reinstallation fixed the problems, same for the friends I share the server with.

Our server team did make a change recently for slower than expected download speeds over in Plex "downloads" are slowing and now very slow - #25 by BigWheel. Maybe it was a contributing factor. Regardless, glad to hear it’s sorted out for you all.
