It would be nice if plex media player had a power or exit button when it is fullscreen. Currently I need to change to split screen mode to exit and then when relaunching PMP one needs to re-enable full screen mode.

The TV mode has an ‘exit’ and a ‘power off’ button.

On Windows, Alt+F4 closes the currently focused window/app

I use my mouse 99% of the time and PC mode has no exit button. Trying to explain to others, push alt + f4 (which on my keyboard required alt+fn+f4) is not really an option.

I would use TV mode but it does not work well with a mouse (no scrolling) which is a separate issue

Early 2021 clean-up:

  • implemented in PMP (HTPC mode)
  • other desktop clients cover this differently
