been there done that, some ppl have reinstalled the server even.
i have tested restarting the server, i get a cert no worries… its even valid if i surf to the port.
But no clients will accept it.
i see in logs today:
DEBUG - Request: [192.168.x.x:38696] rejected because secure connections are required (i am guessing this is tautulli)
But it has the plex direct cert and its valid, so no idea why… it works externally with my letsencrypt cert that i have nginx to the outside.
I have also tried another dns server and flush dns, but i keep seeing this on all my local devices.
i can also confirm still not working, i have restarted the server, removed the player from PC, only thing working atm is removing the secure connection setting
I’m having the same issue, Plex media player refuses to play anything if Secure connections is on. I have to disable secure connections to be able to stream any content from my plex cloud or plex server.
Thanks for the reports, everyone! The log information you’ve provided indicates that this issue is being caused by a problem at our upstream certificate provider’s OCSP service, which we’d also independently discovered and reported to them yesterday. Now that we know it’s causing these failures, we’ve escalated the issue, and hope to have it resolved soon. We’ll keep you updated when the issue is resolved.
Thanks for telling us.
Been trying to get your attention for 4 days.
You should really get a support case for plexpass users mail or something for similar issues.
This is good information, and much appreciated. I also have the same problem which only just started within the last 24 hours. I was pouring over every bit of my infrastructure trying to figure it out.
This issue should be resolved now. If you’re still having problems, try restarting your server and waiting a couple minutes. Please let me know if you still run into this after that.
