PMS 1.15.1.710 Home Dashboard GUI Issues

Server Version#:1.15.1.710
Player Version#:3.83.1

Hey All!

This is my first post to these forums, so I apologize if I’m posting something that has been reported already, but I’m not seeing anything currently in the forums that comes close to the issues I have been experiencing since I upgraded PMS to v1.15.1.710. I’m running PMS on a CentOS 7 Linux server. Since this upgrade, I’m experiencing the following issues in the PMS Dashboard GUI (in a Google Chrome browser window):

  1. Activity icon reports double the amount of actual active real-time streams
  2. When the Activity icon is clicked, the server reports “No Soup For You!” access denied message, even though I am signed in to my admin account
  3. After the behavior in steps 1-2, if I try to return to the home dashboard screen, the server is lost from the dashboard. I have to close and re-open the browser window to get the dashboard for the server again.
  4. Clicking on any media title in the dashboard (movie, tv, or music) redirects directly back to the home dashboard screen; cannot click into any library or title
  5. If I sign out of my Plex account, and directly back in, all access and functionality is restored for a short time (usually 2-3 hours), and then the pattern of behavior in items 1-4 returns
  6. I have restarted both the server and service several times, to no effect
  7. No playback functionality is affected; all remote and local users can access media libraries
through Plex players with no issue
  8. Media indexing is not effected; new TV or Movies titles are indexed and shown on the dashboard with no issues.
  9. This issue has only started since the latest upgrade; never seen patterns of behavior like this before

I have attached my server logs for reference - please let me know if there is any further information I can provide to help diagnose this issue.

I appreciate any advice / direction / help that anyone can provide.

i have been having this exact issue as well - been driving me mad and was until this morning unable to find anyone else having the issue.

i run my PMS on a windows 10 pro set up fyi and do not have any logs.

if am honest i did a compete fresh install and turned off the beta update channel for now so running a PMS of 1.14.1.5488 for now.

You are describing the same symptoms that I experienced here: [BUG] Refreshing the webapp while having a playback notification break the webapp

Can you try to reproduce the problem following my procedure?

I can verify this is happening on a windows 10 pro set up as well.
Server Version 1.15.1.791
Confirmed in both Chrome and Edge browsers

Also noticed when I can get in the dashboard it freezes all browsers used after a while as well. However, if I don’t access the dashboard everything is fine.

I too am seeing the same behavior on Windows 10 Enterprise.
Server 1.15.2.793
Confirmed on Chrome (windows and mac), Edge, Safari
I have seen if i log into plex.tv and launch the WebUI it is as i would expect it to be and I no longer see double.

I have the double dashboard issue, but the rest seems fine.
Except that when I upload a new episode or movie, it does not update right away, I have to change page and come back to see it, not a deal breaker.

The double dashboard is annoying

Using a Dell R710 with WinServer 2008 R2 Version 1.15.1.791

I’ve been seeing the same issue for some time now, presumably since PMS 1.15.1.791 as I’m now on 1.15.3.876.

This only occurs only when logged in via local IP, and other than temporary loss of functionality; as OP has stated “No Soup For You”, I haven’t had any other issues.

This can be temporarily resolved by signing out and back in.

Hey All, just an update for anyone interested, but it looks like this issue has finally been resolved with v 1.15.5.994. No more dashboard or real-time streaming user count issues seem to be present any more.

Many thanks to the Plex team!
