PMS 1.15.4.993 and Issue with SRT Subs

I recently updated PMS to 1.15.4.993 on a Synology NAS and since then SRT subs will work for the first episode of a show, however when I start to play the next episode the subs don’t show up. If I restart the Plex app on my player (Roku) and start the same episode subs work just fine. The previous version of PMS did not have this issue with the same playback device, and things were working fine at least a week ago.

I have a separate issue with SRT subs. Since the last PMS update, when playing an MKV with embedded SRT subs, both my Samsung and LGs TV start to transcode as soon as they hit the first subtitle.

Question for Plex developers - where can we download previous versions of PMS for Synology? It would be really useful for myself and also for the dev team if I could roll back through previous versions to confirm which one introduced the bug.

A small update on my issue - I found my old 1.15.0.659 installation file and rolled back PMS on the Synology box. Now the SRT subtitles are all working fine again.

Did you find the old file online or did you have a local copy of it? I would also like to rollback

You need to uninstall the current Plex version first, but you don’t need to rebuild your library or anything after this older version is installed.

Thanks for sharing the file! Unfortunately, I got an error saying that it was incompatible with my device (DS218+). Are you running on an ARM device?

Oh, sorry didn’t realise you were on Intel. Yes I’ve got an ARMv8 model DS118 so that file is no use to you. Maybe Plex has a page where old versions can be downloaded but I couldn’t find one earlier…

Updated this morning 5/6/19 and the upgrade reverted everything back to a year or so ago. Had to manually rescan source files but all play lists were removed.

Did you install a beta version? I still only see 1.15.4.993 release on Apr 23 is available for Synology devices.
