PMS “Announcing” to devices the wrong type of library

I built two servers, Nvidia and Windows Laptop, both managed on my laptop. Recently two Libraries on each server that were built using “Other Videos” are now “announcing” to my devices (Roku, Nvidia, Apple TV, iPhone) that these Libraries are “Movies” and using the movies icon on sidebar and thumbnails are vertical, while the PMSs on the laptop are still using the CORRECT camcorder icon on sidebar and thumbnails horizontal as they should. In the example in the pics, it’s the “Bonus Features” and “Home Videos” that are the issue. I restarted all servers and client devices.

Any ideas?

Plex Media Server version for each server?

Roku device?

Plex client version on the Roku?

Windows 1.41.1.9057

Nvidia 1.41.0.9018
Roku Ultra 2024
Client version not sure. But most recent

It’s announcing the laptop server correctly on these two Libraries. Two other libraries on the laptop server anre announcing incorrectly however.

I’m seeing it as well for 1.41.1.9057, but only for new libraries. Libraries created before installing that version show the correct Other Video icon. Edit: Happens with PMS on Windows and Linux.

Roku Streaming Stick 4K / 7.26.14.9611 and Nvidia Shield / 10.24.0.1640 both show the wrong icon.

Plex Web 4.140.1 (app.plex.tv) shows the correct icon.

OK, thanks. Hopefully an update will fix it soon.

Here’s a thread from September reporting the same problem on iOS and Android clients.

Plex knows about the problem (per the thread).

Ok thanks for the info

Also, some of the libraries are being announced on the client devices correctly as far as the sidebar icons are concerned, However, the video thumbnails are vertical as if it still thinks it is a movie library. For example, I went ahead and switched over to my Apple TV Client and the bonus features library for one of the servers has the correct icon, showing camcorder icon Since it was built using “Other Videos” Library. However, the video clips are vertical, showing that Apple TV thinks it’s a “Movie” library.

I tried switching that to Plex Movie but still Same issue. I figured that wouldn’t work, but I thought it wouldn’t hurt either. You’re probably right.

When are they going to fix this issue with NVIDIA PMS???
