PMS API sometimes doesn't import shows correctly

Hi

Plex Server is 1.0.3.2461 on Windows 8.1 Pro x64. (however this problem has been around for all previous releases for last 3 months or so)

this is a issue ive seen complained about by various sonarr users over months, however the sonarr dev doesnt know why its happening, the plex logs seem to indicate its a plex issue, so i am posting here to see if you agree,

in sonarr we have a plex media server connection which after download, rename and move as been completed, will initiate the update via API.

essentially after a file has been downloaded, renamed, moved and the API update command sent, we are left with a incorrectly imported show, like in this example screenshot below,

the log shows it appears to initiate this command when Sonarr calls the plex API
Plex Media Scanner.exe" --scan --section 4 --directory “\exampleplexserver v3\Wrecked (2016)” --refresh --item 78284 --force

in the plex scanner log, it can see the newly added file, which has correct naming, is in the correct season folder and correct show folder, yet it still decides to create a new show, Wrecked, instead of using the existing Wrecked (2016)

partial extract from log
Aug 03, 2016 15:21:52.918 [5800] DEBUG - Looking for path match for [\exampleplexserver v3\Wrecked (2016)\Season 1\Wrecked (2016) - S01E10 - Cop Tricks.mkv]
Aug 03, 2016 15:21:52.922 [5800] DEBUG - Skipping hash check, no size match for 759068544 bytes.
Aug 03, 2016 15:21:52.922 [5800] DEBUG - No match for hash.
Aug 03, 2016 15:21:52.924 [5800] DEBUG - Creating show 'Wrecked’

so like in the screenshot, we now have a new show called Wrecked with no tvdb metadata etc, instead of it using Wrecked (2016)

full Plex Media Scanner log is attached in the post

So, if later on, i initiate a library update from within plexweb, or use http://exampleplexserver:32400/library/sections/4/refresh
for example, both of these process’s will correct that incorrectly imported show and import it properly into Wrecked (2016)

edit: added to first post.
