Oct 21, 2021 17:49:29.312 [0x7fc2005a5b38] DEBUG - * Scanning /volume1/Plex/Library

Do you have a library pointed at /volume1/Plex/Library?

If so, remove it immediately. /volume1/Plex is a reserved location when running Plex on DSM 6. Do not place any media files in that directory or any subdirectories. Do not add it, or any subdirectories, to any library.

I do not have such a library… i do have the plex volume on synology, created by PMS. no library. no media files there, only an application support subdir created by Plex

this was done a couple years back. actually have a Media volume with my libraries underneath. worked fine for 2+ years and then this problem arose…

can someone help me diagnose by looking at my logs? they are Greek to me :slight_smile:

@petersbar

I just checked your certificate. It was dated Sept 5th.

Anything in Sept is subject to question, imho.

I reset the certificate for you.

Please restart PMS.

Thanks. Is the cert on,y used when secure connections are on? How did you reset it?

Peter,

I went into your account at Plex.tv

I saw the date the certificate was issued by Plex.

I’ve seen problems with anything issued prior to Oct 1 (this Sept 30 bounary crossing).

To address the certificate aspect itself, I’ve reset it so you will get a fresh certificate when PMS next restarts

I have sent you a PM.

Chuck. thanks again. it ran for 5days until yesterday and then crashed again 2x yesterday. I set secure networks to disabled. Should this help until theres a long term fix? appreciate your help thus far!!

I installed the old version and its working great. this forum site is difficult to navigate. cannot find my messages or my posts easily so i am replying to an earlier post. really appreciate all your help.
