Can you please provide the server debug logs which capture the playback starting and failing?
We can’t be of any help without seeing what’s happening.
I have uploaded my log file and the screenshot of what I’m seeing on the Roku Plex client (doesn’t matter which client I used, they all will buffer and cannot play). What’s happening on the client is that it will start to buffer up to 33% and then take very long time then up to 44% or >50% then another very long wait and then up to around 90% or you will see the TV show. Then for only a couple of seconds and then I get the screenshot I uploaded. If I leave it there you can hear the TV show but no picture, just that image. But it’s constantly buffering.
If I allow this to continue my Linux server will eventually become unresponsive, cannot ssh or access the Ubuntu desktop, it’s locked up. I have to do a hard reset. So, I have do a reboot before I let PMS lock up my linux server.

I am seeing the Radeon trying to transcode.
Since it is a 2012 release year card – Can it (DVR/LiveTV) transcode what you’re asking?

I never had any issues with transcoding until I did a update 2 days ago. If I disable video stream transcoding, Roku client cannot play Live TV. I get “plex direct play is disabled”
If I uncheck “Disable video stream transcoding” (enabled transcoding) but disable “Use hardware-accelerated video encoding”. I’m able to watch Live TV again, but it buffers a lot and eventually get “Playback Error”. If I play a from DVR, the picture is pixelated and buffers every now and then.
Here’s the packages that was updated 2 days ago. Anything you can see that I should downgrade if I can?
