PMS can't scan forlders when adding new files to attteched NAS

Server Version#: 1.21.0.3711
Player Version#: 4.48.1

Hello,
I’m running PMS on a Macmini (Late 2014, MacOS Mojave). I have 5 USB disks attached to it and a WD MyCloud (8 TB) on my Network.
My Problem is that when i add a file or folder to the USB Disks, PMS starts automatically a partial Scan, retrieve the metadatas and display the new Film or Episode added. But when i store something in my WD NAS, nothing happened until the next Scheduled Scan of the Libraries.

Any Idea Guys?
Thanks for your precious Help

Plex doesn’t get a notification about any newly added content from network storage. That only works for internal and (some) directly connected external drives.

From the support article on Library settings:

Scan my library automatically

When a change is detected in the source location for a library’s content, the appropriate library will be scanned.

Note : This function relies on the computer’s operating system providing the “something changed” trigger. Some operating systems don’t provide this trigger and content mounted via a network will also typically not work. If your library doesn’t automatically scan, you may have to set a periodical scan or do it manually.

Edit: you can always manually trigger a scan via Plex Web (on the library: ... > Scan library files) or e.g. via Plex Dash

Thanks @tom80H for the reply

It’s clear for me now
