Starting a couple days ago (I think), my plex server just continuously scans new TV series for Intros. It never completes, it just keeps spinning. I checked the console and I am getting tons of error message like this:
I went in and made sure the permissions on that folder were correct, have restarting the Plex server app several times, even restarted my Synology. I’ve done “the Plex dance” with the files, etc etc etc. Nothing seems to fix this problem.
So far the only work-around I’ve found is to turn off Detect Intros all together. Anyone know how to fix this? Logs are attached.
Verbose logging has never been on. What should be there is Debug > Enabled only. I turned that on last night right before uploading his logs (just checked and it’s still just set to “enabled”). If you’re seeing verbose logs, that could be another glitch.
@ChuckPa It’s looking like that folder trick may have solved all of his issues. I followed your guide, and then turned “detect intros” back on. Before I even had a chance to restart PMS to get you logs, I checked the console, zero errors.
Question: Would it be possible for Linux based users to have an alert from PMS when their folder count is too high? Maybe even an automated “troubleshooting” script to run. For people like my friend who’s not quite as tech savvy, that would save lots of headaches and swearing over the phone. haha! Possible?
