PMS crashes when loading Apple TV client

Server Version#: 1.18.2.2058
Player Version#: 2.11 (13900)

Ever since the Apple TV client updated, if I open up the Plex app in Apple TV, PMS crashes. It doesn’t seem consistent on how to trigger it but definitely if I go to Live TV, but doesn’t always even take that much. Sometimes just loading the app is enough to kill PMS.

Some logs showing PMS running fine until I loaded up Apple TV (once I narrowed it down to that):

Dec 04 00:18:15 plex systemd[1]: Starting Plex Media Server…

I experienced similar behavior after updating to Plex 2.11 on my Apple TV 4K. However, in my case, I was able to consistently reproduce the crash by navigating to Live TV & DVR. It sounds like your situation may be slightly different as I was never able to cause the crash in any other way. At any rate, to correct the issue I deleted and then recreated my DVR on my server. I’ve not experienced a crash since doing so.

I would say you’re probably correct that it is the same issue and might just be me muscle memory down to Live TV without realizing but then scrolling back up fast and not thinking I went there.

Am I able to save the DVR schedule when I recreate it or will it be lost when I redo it?

Your DVR’s recording schedule shouldn’t be modified/deleted, mine was not. I’d just make sure you have a recent backup of your PMS database…
