Server Version#: 1.18.2.2058
Player Version#: Apple TV v2.11(1)
DSM: 6.2.2-24922 Update 4
Model NAS: DS218+ with 8 GB RAM
PMS service stops on my NAS when I try and launch the Live DVR on an AppleTV player running v2.11(1). The process on the NAS continues to run, but the service in the Package Center stops. The issue began after adding the DVR service, but after 3 days of good performance. In testing this, I am watching a recorded show on my laptop via Chrome, then when I start the AppleTV app, the video stops, then the service shows as stopped. Also have tested this with the iPhone app, and it works fine until the AppleTV app tries to access the Live DVR.
I (and a couple of other users) had this issue after upgrade to Plex 2.11 on Apple TV. I was able to resolve the issue by deleting and then recreating the DVR on the server.
Thanks Phillip,
We’ve pulled together a number of crash reports and are looking at it now.
The dev who worked on what we’re seeing is working on it now.
If you have Crash Reports (from the Crash Reports directory) and corresponding logs showing the Crash Uploader entries, that would be great.
I’m sorry, I don’t. I deleted the crash reports yesterday since I hadn’t experienced the issue in nearly a week. Another user experienced the issue over in this thread, perhaps they still have theirs hanging around?
Here’s another, in case it helps.
I have a similar problem. My server is Debian Buster and Plex is at 1.18.3.2111. When i connect with my Android phone, it is on Android 10, it caused the server to crash. I signed out of the server and reclaimed it and it still failed. I then deleted the DVR settings (as seen here) and the phone was able to connect properly. When it crashed, I looked at the status of the service and saw the output below. I downloaded the logs and attached here.

Should these files be here: /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application\ Support/Plex\ Media\ Server/Crash\ Reports/ ?
If so, the directories are empty unfortunately.
If the directories are empty, it means they successfully uploaded to our server.
You have a different and higher priority issue to handle first.

You have more than 8192 directories being monitored. The Linux default is 8192.
You need to increase that amount.
