Finally got a chance to do this, and its all fixed now, thanks so much! Turns out to have been an DVB episode recorded from my hd homerun, and the stream was a bit glitchy, probably due to bad weather. Still very happy that everything appears stable again.
Slightly worrying that such an issue can take down plex totally and be so unintuitive to resolve though - i’d looked in that log file, but missed that the key line that identifies the files extends well past the normal character count.

So glad you’re good to go! Thanks for letting us know.
Jus throwing my response in here also. This is also happening to me 3x a day atleast.
3 crashes in 8 minutes playing from my iMac server to my iMac Safari:
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
Exception Codes: EXC_I386_GPFLT
Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY
Termination Signal: Segmentation fault: 11
Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 0xb
Terminating Process: exc handler [41323]
Seems to happen on different files at different times. Other files work.
Same files plays just fine on my QNAP.
