I have noticed my Plex keeps shutting down daily on my iMac and I ma not sure why. I haven’t changed any settings on my iMac to do so. I have noticed this once I try to play movies and notice my iMac is not online everytime I check. I have to go back to my iMac and turn it back on. so I did some digging and when to my console to see if I am getting some error codes to cause this.

does anyone have any idea what this means and how I can fix it?
Mod-Edit: added some code tags around that log snippet to make it easier to read
That’s just showing a bad SSDP lookup where one device on your network is sending information in a different format than expected by Plex. That snippet isn’t showing anything about a crash/shutdown of your server.
If you experience a crash… the more interesting part is the end of the log from right before the crash. I believe there’s been some recent posts about users experiencing crashes during the scheduled maintenance tasks when scanning files with specific characters – though I was under the impression this had already been fixed (so it might be interesting to know what version of PMS you’re running on your Mac).

Server Version#: 1.23.1.4602

On Mac OS, PMS is crashing constantly while trying to record. Something to do with Plex transcoder it seems. Plex Transcoder_2021-06-01-001908_mac-mini.crash.zip (1.1 KB)
No problem. At this point I’m trying to decide what the successor to my Mac running PMS might be. For me at least I’m basically on stuck the 1.22 branch as every release since has crashed due to the transcoder. In another thread a Plex Staffer essentially said they don’t have a Mac so they can’t test.

does anyone have any idea what this means and how I can fix it? And do I ignore these errors? is it something else causing it to crash?
@Plex - Has there been any attempt to fix/debug the transcoder crash yet on Macs? Been reading change logs and haven’t seen mention of it being addressed.
I have been having similar issues, noticed PMS was not running on headless server, updated to 1.33.0.2444 and now it seems to only run for about 5 to 10 mins before quitting. Unless there is something I am missing, I must restart the server before getting the option to download logs, which then only shows activity from start time. As of today, it appears my Plex server is useless, at least prior to the update it would run for a day or two before quitting. Is it possible to downgrade to the last stable version for Mac? What version would that be?
