I had my plex working great. I accidently deleted my plex folder on my ds218+ today and I got an error message telling me that I needed to reinstall the pms on my nas. I proceeded to install. Ever since, I have not been able to open pms from my nas as plex is refusing to connect.
I have since, uninstalled the app, deleted the plex user, deleted the shared folder and then rebooted and reinstalled the plex app and fixed the folder permissions.
Plex continues to refuse the connection. Not sure what to do from here.
Server Version#:PlexMediaServer-1.18.3.2156-349e9837e-x86_64.spk
Player Version#: installed on mi box last week
When you delete the server in that way, you must also remove it from the list of known servers.
Plex/Web (app.plex.tv/desktop or local ), Settings - Authorized Devices - Servers (left corner). Remove the previous instance of the server and close the browser window.
Now when you open to the Synology, it will have no apriori knowledge of anything previous.
Now, when I click open, I go to plex but it is not giving me the option to setup my media server. It is telling me to get the download the media server after I already did. What do I need to do to get the option of setting up my media and for plex to recognize my media server on my nas?
