(at least its not the dreaded “no soup for you!” message)
Some background:
Have been using plex on multiple devices at home for years
-This setup was previously working flawlessly
A few weeks ago the street optic fibre was cut and took about 3 weeks before I was back online. In that time, I could still use plex to stream to the PC but not other devices.
After the internet connection was restored, Plex didn’t work anymore. Perhaps it updated itself, I don’t know.
Hi Trumpy, I’m glad to see you didn’t get cancelled by the (plex) media
I just did as you said, now it is running version 1.23.4.4775-6000. I waited for CPU usage to fall back down after installing, then opened to web app but it is still having the same issue.
Since plex has been down I installed the Media Server and Video Station apps as temporary measure. I assume these don’t interfere with Plex’s operations though.
Hi there, the problem is that Plex Web doesn’t even see my server, so there is nothing to customise anyway, other than unpinning the online content that plex offers.
Thanks for all your help. When you mentioned DNS issue I checked the pihole for my home network and turns out that it wasn’t running. The ethernet cable was probably damaged because rebooting the raspberry pi didn’t do anything. So I rebooted everything and changed the cable and we are back to full plex operation.
