Using the latest version of OSX PMS.
Every couple of hours (even since before this version is OSX and PMS), the server just stops. The logging has been of essentially no help.
Am I alone here?

I literally have had to restart PMS every few hours the last half year.
Can you offer more information please?
PMS Version:
MacOS version:
Have you checked the Mac logs?
As for your question, my iMac has not exhibited this behavour.
i have the same problem, always actual PMS Version and at the moment Catalina… Some version before no problem with PMS, but since 2 Months every x hour PMS crash without an error…?!?
Latest PMS version (but it’s happened for all recent PMS versions)
MacOS is the latest version of Big Sur (but has happened for OS X since long before it)
Have you done a fresh install of PMS in awhile? If not I truly recommend it. It’s much quicker with the new Movie scanner if your collection is named correctly. There nothing like a fresh install, follow the instruction exactly and your Preferences will stick. Don’t discount naming correctly, it may have worked for years but things change.
Goodness. That would be a bold move, and take a looonnng time
You will be surprised, I was up and running in less than 40 minutes, that’s if your naming is in order.
My guess for the issue is that titles are not living in their own folder and the scanner is running trying to match. Once a title is matched that folder and contents are dismissed compared to a muddled collection of badly named and structured.
Example:
We’ll see how it goes lol
3000 movies, 200 TV series, and god-knows-how-many songs.
Gonna be a while
Yeah, but it will keep your sanity. Start with the unwatched and add the others over time
