I have reconfigured both of my Movies (Movies and Movies Oldies) libraries file structure so each movie is in it’s own folder path. Then, updated metadata on all libraries. Then, optimized the database and cleaned bundles. The server has been running for a 3-4 days but the issue persists where discovery will not match or display my own library. I have a friend who shares their libraries which are very performant and display almost instantly.
What’s the next step for troubleshooting?
Server Version#: 1.43.0.10467
Player Version#: Web 4.156.0
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>
I’ve confirmed none of the affected libraries have “Allow matching to explicit content” feature enabled.
Both “Scanner” and “Agent” are set to “Plex Movie”
and “Plex TV Series” - “Plex Series”, respectively.
Under Agents (Legacy) - Movies > Plex Movie (Legacy) includes the default Plex Movies (Legacy) and I have also enabled “Local Media Assets (Movies)”
The Movie Database includes the default The Move Database, and I also have enabled “Local Media Assets (Movies)”
Here is a screen capture example of the behavior. Clark Gable lists the shared library on my friends server. Lana Turner lists no libraries, only the ‘Known For’ carrousel.
Looks like there is an existing bug report with your previous logs & DB since I assume you have updated server since then new ones would be good. Also may be worth getting the xml info copied to a text file frmo one of youe movies that is only on your server. and the logs from one of the apps after loading that page/screen. (probably from the mobile app is best if all apps have issue)
No, I just confirmed that none of the titles for these example actors include any {edition} attribute titles in either the Movies or Movies Oldies libraries. I’m happy to illustrate with a screen capture if that’s helpful.
