Same type libraries works different!

Good day everyone!

The essence of the problem:

In the first Movies library, I select a movie, then click on the actor and go to the library page sorted by this actor.

In the second Movies library (same settings), I select a movie, then click on the actor, but go to the actor’s page in the Discover section.

Global search for an actor works correctly, as in the second library, sending me to the actor’s page in the Discover section.

Fixing the problems (database optimization, package cleanup) and updating all metadata of the first library does not fix the problem.

I have 3 Movie libraries and 2 Series libraries. Only 1 Movie library and 1 Series library work correctly, although they were created approximately at the same time.

How can I change the incorrect (library filter instead of the Discover section) behavior of the library?

Compare the settings on the Advanced tab of each library’s properties.

Done with comparing. Libraries have the same settings.

1st Movies library advanced settings:

  • Scaner: Plex Movie
  • Agent: Plex Movie

According to https://support.plex.tv/articles/discover-credits/ :

  • Include adult content: Disabled
  • The library uses a legacy metadata agent: No
  • Items in a Plex Media Server library have not been refreshed: Metadata refreshed

2d Movies library advanced settings:

  • Scaner: Plex Movie
  • Agent: Plex Movie

  • Include adult content: Disabled
  • The library uses a legacy metadata agent: No
  • Items in a Plex Media Server library have not been refreshed: Metadata refreshed

See if a complete DB rebuild can solve this issue.

I have the same issue with actors and the Discovery section, but I’m using Plex on TrueNAS SCALE official App. From searching I can see everything about an actor, from the movie I see only movies with him inside the movie library. Looks like UI misdesign.
