PMS Not Reachable

Server Version#: 1.18.5.2309

Since about the beginning of June, I have not been able to access My Cloud on any android app, including smart TVs, or remotely. The server says it is unreachable, but I have not changed anything.

I verified that there were no changes from my ISP and that my external IP is the same as what my router says. I purchased a new NAS Synology DS920+ and installed PMS and loaded my library. This is also showing unreachable, though the library itself has been recognized and is visible outside my network.

I tried to do port forwarding and that did not work either.

I have attached the logs.

Thanks!

Paul,

It seems you have multiple instances of PMS on the WD.
Two are currently active which will undoubtedly confuse things.

Please let me know, by approximate creation date if possible, which to keep.
I’ll remove the others for you.

For the Syno,

File Station - Plex shared folder - Library - Application Support - Plex media Server

Right-click Logs , Compress to Logs.zip

download and attach that zip here.

I’ll take a look.

For the WD, the most recent one is fine. I am not sure how they got created as there is only one library.

Attached are the logs from the Syno.

Paul,
It looks like your server isn’t signed into your account.

Plex web gets fussy and there’s an easy way to fix that,

  1. Restart the Syno
  2. In Plex/web, upper right corner – Sign out.
  3. Close the browser
  4. Now re-open it
  5. Open an incognito window (make sure Plex/web tokens don’t interfere)
  6. Open http://ip.addr.of.syno:32400/web
  7. It may want you to claim it – do so if it asks and let me know
  8. When it’s back in there –
  9. Settings - Authorized Devices - Server (dropdown)
  10. Look to see if you now have 2 syno entries.
  11. If so, delete the older one – it’s the source of the problem
  12. Now you can close , reopen, and use Plex/web & devices normally.

Hi Chuck,

1 - 4, no problem.
In incognito in Chrome, it would not allow me to log in with my gmail credentials. I used MS Edge inprivate mode to log in. There was nothing about claiming it.

In authorized devices, there was only one entry for the syno. I selected that, but it is still not showing up remotely.

Thanks,

Paul

Also, My Cloud Home PMS is also still not accessable.

Hi,

Is there any additional support or is my Plex just permanently broken?

Thanks,

Paul
