Hello all,
I have a strange issue where Plex no longer seems to recognise duplicates. I run PMS on a Windows 10 machine, and connected to that I have various NAS/Drives. Recently I moved an entire folder from one drive to the other. My usual way is to copy the files over, let PMS scan and find the duplicates, then remove the old folder. However now that isn’t working, if I just delete the folder I lose track of played state.
Anyone know why this might be happening? Folder and file names are exactly the same, films are matched.
You have changed the default metadata agent of your library. So the old copy uses a different agent than the new copy.
Plex doesn’t know which movie on e.g. IMDb is which movie on TMDB.
You can either merge the two posters (carefully, select the old one first!)
or you remove the new folder, revert the agent change, and then add the folder again.
