I’m having problems getting PMS to match a show, and I’m hoping someone here could help out.
I’m using the “Plex Series” agent, and trying to match “The Three Stooges” from 1934. The only options I get are “The Three Musketeers” and “The Three Bears”. If I remove “the” and the year from the search, it’s the same thing. Searching for “3 stooges” or “stooges” results in nothing found. The series is in the TVDB. PMS is parsing the show name and year from the folder name properly, as those search fields are filled in.
How do I troubleshoot this? Is there a way to tell PMS to use a specific TVDB ID for a show? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This used to be a tv show, but the power that be at TheTVDB and TheMovieDB have decided that these movies were never a series, but single movies.
(which is kinda true, they were originally shown at cinemas after all)
So that is what you need to turn them into, if you want them to match in Plex.
I’ve been using The Three Stooges (1934) from the TVDB. Oh well. I’d rather repurpose these into movies than manually fill in the metadata. Maybe I’ll create a library for theatrical shorts, and put the Stooges and Tex Avery stuff in there.
