I have PMS, version 1.24.0.4930-6000 installed on my Synology DS716+II NAS. Once I did the upgrade to this version, it doesn’t collect any metadata, display movie/tv show information (i.e. poster, cast, synopsis) on the Plex web, version 4.59.2. On Plex apps on the TV, folders aren’t seen from the server. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, changing settings, etc. to no avail. Debug logging is enabled, verbose logging is disabled. As of this moment, PMS is useless to me. I had no problems before update, running version 1.21.x.xxxx. Any suggestions/help to get this back online so that it is usable again? Thanks in advance.
Update: 16 Aug 2021 - I am now able to see the folders on the Plex app on both of my Samsung TV’s. As with Plex web, no metadata is shown. Movies and TV shows play fine. Still looking for any help with this metadata issue. I have searched the forum, tried suggestions in other threads and nothing works.
Movie name: Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021). This is how I have been naming all my movies/tv shows for the past 7 years+ with no issues. Here are screen shots of library and movie selected. Movie plays fine in apps, just no poster or metadata.
I did provide you the exact file name. Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021).mkv. This movie type is what I always use. The screenshots show exactly what is displayed in Plex, which wasn’t the case before the latest update, hence no metadata shown.

I used to use FileBot until Apple started charging for the app. I followed the naming convention that FileBot used for naming files after that. Never had an issue. I will do your suggested remedy and see if that solves the problem. I’ll post my results when I get it done. Thanks for your help so far.
Apple wasn’t the one who started charging. The author did. IMHO, it’s well worth it too. He makes a great program and my contribution helps pay for his time to maintain and improve it.
I went ahead and bought FileBot. I was unaware it was the author who started charging. I really liked the program before and support his efforts. Just thought he wasn’t getting any of the purchase. Anyway, renamed the movie, added a couple more after accomplishing your remedy steps. Now everything is as it was before. All metadata and posters are being shown. Thank you for all the help you provided.
